Drive time: 10 minutes from Alcester, 23 minutes from Stratford-upon-Avon and 15 minutes from Redditch.

With wonderful views and the best den building area in the Forest, Middle Spernal Farm provides the opportunity to explore a range of different wildlife habitats with opportunities to see deer, barn owls, birds of prey and small mammals as well as clouds of butterflies and carpets of wildflowers. Our 2 wild wood learning areas have defined boundaries to enable children to experience a sense of freedom whilst being in a safe environment to play. We will spend the majority of our time outside, with water proof clothing, wellies and warm layers available to borrow if required.

Would your teenager like to combat climate change, benefit from spending time outdoors, improve their physical and mental health, forge new friendships and gain valuable work experience? Young Foresters is a volunteering and adventure club for young people aged 12-18. Our Young Foresters have many adventures in the Forest such as bushcraft, outdoor cooking, natural crafts and camps, as well as taking part in a number of forestry and conservation tasks. Please note: Bookings close 4 days before each session so book early to avoid disappointment. Taking part in Young Foresters can count towards the volunteering requirement for the Duke of Edinburgh Award and give them the opportunity to practice skills they will use on their expedition. The young people attend independently, supported by our experienced staff.

Camp notes

We have 2 sites, which each offer something different as exciting and beautiful places for you and your children to explore. This club is held at Middle Spernal near Studley, the other is at Gorcott Hill, near Redditch where Young Foresters is held on (usually) the last Saturday of the month.

Bookings close 4 days before each session so book early to avoid disappointment.
